Is IPO in iCrossing’s Future? Monday, July 30, 2007 |

iCrossing on Monday said it had agreed to acquire web development agency Proxicom, a move that would create the largest privately-held U.S. digital marketing firm.

iCrossing’s latest acquisition comes amid a growing frenzy of consolidation in the online marketing and advertising industry. iCrossing president Don Scales told AdWeek on Monday that the company’s “intention is to go public.”


The combined company will now be the largest privately-held digital marketing firm in the U.S., according to Advertising Age. Reston, Virginia-based Proxicom had revenue of $66 million in 2006, while iCrossing had $63 million, according to publication.

Goldman Sachs and Oak Investment Partners Lead Investment in Digital Marketing Leader iCrossing

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – July 26, 2007 – iCrossing a global digital marketing company, announced today it has received an investment from Goldman, Sachs & Co., with additional investments from existing investors Oak Investment Partners, RRE Ventures and StarVest Partners L.P. The investment, totaling $62 million, will support iCrossing’s acquisition and organic growth strategy.
